The Story behind moved

“Dance is not just about learning steps. It is about giving and receiving - like in life! I love guiding others and helping them discover new sides of themselves through dance.” - wiktor

about me - founder of moved :

Hi, my name is Wiktor and I am the founder of moved! I am a dancer, choreographer and dance educator from Vienna, Austria, with polish roots. Altough I was born and raised in Vienna, my journey into the world of dance is anything but typical. Growing up, I was deeply involved in competitive handball for 12 years and dance was not at my radar at all. It was not until after finishing high school in 2018 that I discovered dance. I started taking dance classes and immediately felt a deep connection with the art form. For the first time, I found myself in a space where I could truly be myself - where I felt free and unrestrained, something I had always craved.

I believe that energy in a room can deeply influence people in it, and for me, dancing brought a sense of freedom and expression that was missing in sports like handball. As I dove deeper into the dance world, things moved quickly - I joined a crew and participated in my first competitions. Along the way, I completed my training at the KKTP (Kolleg für kommerzielle Tanzstile und Pädagogik) in Vienna and earned my qualification as a certified dance teacher in 2021.

Despite my success as a dancer and educator, I wanted more, so I moved to Berlin to train with Sonia Bartuccelli in the Advanced Dance Program. From there, I continued my journey in Cologne, where I gained my first professional experience as a dancer and teacher. Since then, I have performed on major tv-shows like RTL, SAT1, ORF, also danced at big events like Mary Kay!
I also got the chance to work as a choreographer/Movement Director on music videos, including with Miri Leonardo for her single “Das alles Bin ich”.

Why MOVED?

After years of holding back and focusing on my personal growth, I took a decisive step forward. I started my journey into dance more seriously, diving deeper into my passion for movement. Having gone through two knee surgeries and gaining insight into the dance industry, I knew it was time to embrace my love for teaching and helping others. What truly motivates me is guiding people through their own journey - whether it is during their training process or simply watching them grow. The most fulfilling part is seeing their development and being part of that growth. I love the opportunity to support others, encourage them, and be there as they progress.

For a long time, I thought deeply about why I do what I do, and I came to the conclusion that “moved” has so many meanings. It is about more than just physical movements. It is about taking steps forward in life, evoking emotions, sharing experiences, connecting with people, and many more…
Movement touches every aspect of life, and it is something I wanted to embody.

In April 2024, I launched my previous brand, Dance with Wik, with the simple thought:
”I am just going to do it. I want to share what I love and help others along the way - no matter what!”
Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I have always enjoyed passing on the knowledge I have gained through my own experiences. But over time, I realized I needed a name that truly represented who I am and what I want to share with the world.

That is when “moved” came into being.
It represents the power of movement - not only in the physical sense, but also emotionally and personally. It is about inspiring others to take action, to feel, to grow , and to keep moving forward and all areas in their lives.
